A Canopy Tent Provides Both Protection and Visibility at Outdoor Events

If you are a venue manager, you may be responsible for providing tents and canopies to vendors for use in your facility. If this is the case, you are going to want to use canopies that are easy to set up and take down, durable, and in appropriate sizes for every vendor’s needs. If you own a business or are part of an organization and you plan on attending trade shows or outdoor events, you too may be looking for ways to protect your products and people while at the same time drawing positive attention to your group. A canopy tent that comes in a range of sizes, that can be customized in a plethora of ways, will work in both of these common situations.

A canopy that has full or half walls added to it is known as a canopy tent. You will want to give serious consideration to selecting a pop up canopy, which is also known as an instant canopy. These are the quickest indoor and outdoor canopies to set up and take down, and it will make the process of attending or producing trade shows and outdoor events much easier for your personnel.

Canopies and tents can both be customized in many different ways. The colors of the materials used, as well as the logo and graphics that you can select, can all be made uniquely yours through the customization process. This will help to increase your brand visibility at any event at which you use outdoor canopies or tents. The walls and roofs of a pop up canopy can have your logo and graphics applied, so that in an instant visitors can see what you are offering and what is your brand.

If you are a venue manager, you know that size restrictions on a canopy tent can mean the difference between several vendors attending or only a handful. Vendors also know that size restrictions can play a part in the type of tent or canopy they can select. Outdoor canopies, including instant canopy types, come in sizes ranging from a compact five feet square all the way up to large canopies suitable for covering performance stages. There are many different shapes available, including the customary square shape, but also hexagonal and custom designs. Vendors find that it is beneficial to have a pop up canopy in several different sizes, so that you are always prepared for any venue.

Outdoor events provide a unique challenge to vendors, in that you have the weather with which to contend. Your supplies may not benefit from rainfall, wind or scorching sun, but with an instant canopy or canopy tent you can protect not only your products but also your staff and visitors from the elements.

Whatever your outdoor event or trade show need, a pop up canopy can meet the exacting requirements of vendors and venue managers alike.

Vegetable Growing in Containers

If your gardening is limited to insufficient space or poor soil conditions, planting your vegetables in containers is an easy solution. Almost any vegetable that can be planted in the ground can be grown in containers.

Almost any containers will do. Just make sure they are large enough for the type of vegetable you are planting. Tomatoes, green onions, lettuce, eggplants and peppers especially do well in containers.

Before you plant your vegetables, be sure to drill holes in the bottom of your container, about 1/4 to 1/2 inches from the bottom on the sides of the container. Next, it’s best if you place a layer of course gravel on the bottom for drainage. Another nice thing about container gardening is you can pick the type of soil you wish to use, unlike ground gardening where you have to use what is available in the spot you choose.

With container gardening you can choose just about any location. The plants are easily moved and much easier to take care of. This comes in handy if you happen to live in an apartment or condo, where there is limited space.

Proper watering is essential in container gardening. Usually once per day is adequate, however, poor drainage will slowly kill the plant, so make sure you have placed the containers in a location where they can drain well.

It’s very important to choose a location where your container vegetables will receive lots of light. Just remember that leafy crops can tolerate more shade than root crops.

If you live where you have space for a garden, container gardening can be much easier than tilling a spot for an in-ground garden. If you have a patio, balcony or just a big porch, planting in a container takes less time and is much easier to manage than a regular garden.

Another plus with container gardening, you don’t have to worry about your plants being ruined by a late frost. With a traditional garden you may have to find a way to cover your vegetation, and it still may freeze. With container gardening, it is possible to move your vegetation inside until the threat of frost is gone.

Container gardening can be done in just about any container. From old wash tubs, to feed troughs. Many containers can be found at nurseries or green houses. When a shipment comes in, many of these businesses toss the unused container out. They vary in sizes, which makes it easy to find the perfect size for any project you have in mind and many will give them away just to be rid of them.

Mid March to Early May is the time to begin planting many vegetables in central Texas. You can easily find a planting chart where you purchase your vegetable seeds.

No matter where you choose to plant, if you do not use any chemicals, and only natural products, you are producing an organic plant that not only is good for you but delicious too.

So start gathering those containers and growing your own vegetables, they will taste much better than anything purchased in a grocery store!
